Supporting Sunrise

Proud to be a not-for-profit, community-based organization since we began in 1960, Sunrise pledges a steadfast commitment to Siouxland. Our impact is local. Our connections are personal. And although we remain faithful stewards of our resources, our need is very real. You can help Sunrise right now by lending volunteer assistance and/or financial support.

Costs continue to rise for services, supplies, equipment, and construction. While we are funded through Medicare, Medicaid, private payments, and other third parties, we rely on gifts and grants to add programs, augment services, and enhance facilities.

What’s more, currently half our health center residents cannot cover the costs of quality long-term care. To absorb expenses for those with limited assets, Sunrise provides "charity care" without charge. Last year alone, Sunrise donated $611,000 in charity care. And as these needs have tripled in recent years, we've realized a large drain on our limited budget.
