Sunrise Offers April Soup and Speakers
Nights
Sunrise is holding a free, four-part evening Soup and
Speakers informational series on Tuesdays from April 5 to 26 at 5:30
p.m. at the Pointe at Sunrise on the campus of Sunrise Retirement Community.
Following a complimentary soup and sandwich dinner, presentations will
be held from
6 to 7:30 p.m. and include time for questions and answers. The public
is invited.
The dates, topics and speakers will be:
- April 5 "Getting Your House
Sold," Ann Peterson, local realtor
- April 12 "Legal Issues of
Estate Planning," John Anderson, local attorney
- April 19 "Long-term
Care Insurance: The Right Choice," Thomas Borchert, independent
agent retirement planner
- April 26 "The Caregiver’s Role in Health Care," Dr.
Paul Fee, local physician
"We are pleased to again offer a seminar series with helpful information
to seniors and those close to them on topics of interest," said Char
Hesse, marketing director for The Pointe. "We have lined up excellent
speakers with strong expertise in moving, estate planning, long term
care insurance and care-giving."
As a community-based, not-for-profit, residential center for seniors, Sunrise
provides the entire continuum of care for seniors, from independent
living to specialized memory care for individuals with Alzheimer's
and related disorders.
Seating is limited. Persons should make reservations for the soup and sandwich
dinner by the Friday prior to the event.
