City, IA 51106 www.sunriseretirement.com May 12, 2009 Sunrise Honors Volunteers More than 90 volunteers were recognized and awards were presented to four exceptional volunteers at a recent volunteer luncheon at Sunrise Retirement Community. Those honored were: Adeline Robinson, individual volunteer; Peggy Hopp, staff volunteer; The Lamplighters, group volunteer and Barbara's Florals, business volunteer. Volunteers serve as companions to Sunrise residents by visiting, providing musical programs and assisting residents for church services and community outings. More than 100 nursing and assisted living residents live in the health center and memory care centers on the Sunrise campus. "Our volunteers help make possible some of the services that we are able to offer," says Lorrie Stedman, director of fund-raising and volunteers. "They are an important extension of our Sunrise family." Sunrise is Siouxland's largest community based not-for-profit retirement community.
