| Sunrise Retirement Community was presented with a
check for $10,000 from the Argosy Casino for their capital campaign
to build a new health center. Penn National Gaming Foundation has
matched the gift with an additional $10,000.
"Giving back to the community is very important
to the Argosy Casino," says Kees Eder, vice president and
general manager. "We are committed to supporting local organizations
through charitable donations."
Bev Zenor, executive director of Sunrise stated "We
sincerely appreciate the generosity of the Argosy Casino and for
the matching gift from Penn. Upcoming federal safety changes make
it imperative for Sunrise to replace its existing health center."
Sunrise Retirement Community is Siouxland's only
community-based non-profit senior living community now celebrating
its 50th anniversary of caring for seniors at all stages of aging,
including those needing skilled nursing, memory care, assisted
living and independent living. |
