Sunrise Receives 2009 Safety Award from IAHSA

Sunrise Retirement Community recently received the "Quality First Recognition Award" from the Iowa Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (IAHSA). The award was presented for their "Safety Committee Quality Improvement" program in demonstration of their commitment to the delivery of quality resident care services.

Beverly Zenor, executive director of Sunrise was recognized for her Excellence in Leadership and for the Francis Lackner Honor Award. Zenor made substantial contributions to long term care and to IAHSA and to the ideals it represents.

Richard Keith, past president of the Sunrise Board of Directors was recognized in the category of "Volunteer of the Year Award". Keith performed significant volunteer services to a resident of Sunrise.

IAHSA is an independent association of not-for-profit nursing homes whose mission is to inspire leadership and benevolence in its members through networking, education, information and advocacy.
