Designed especially for the care and treatment of residents with dementia-related disorders, the Sunlight and Bernstein Centers offer a non-restrictive, homelike environment separated from the general Health Center population.  The relaxed atmosphere is conducive to family visits and informal gatherings.  The individual's health and dignity are maintained through:

	Planned activities for individuals and groups
	Reminiscent/Memory therapy
	Music therapy
	Gussie's Garden - a lovely and secure outdoor environment
	Social services, including individual and/or family counseling

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES INCLUDED:

	24-hour professional nursing staff.
	Medication administration by licensed nursing personnel.
	Supervised diet.
	Two assisted whirlpool baths weekly.
	Physical therapy for rehabilitation or health enhancement.
	Activities.
	Weekly housekeeping services/laundering of linens.
	Management of partial incontinence care.
	Limited assistance in feeding.
	Increased need for supervision due to disorientation, dementia or wandering.
	Special diets as directed by physician.
	Special treatment procedures as directed by physician

ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND COSTS

 

	$30.00 per month for personal laundry services.                                                     (Also available is a one time $25.00 fee for laundry labeling services).
	Nursing supplies such as syringes, dressings, lotion, Kleenex.
	Beauty shop and barber services cost sheet is available                                 at the business office.
	Van Service: $20.00 one way  $25.00 round trip
